A fitting is only as good as the range of things you can try. Our component rack is built to cover the useful spread — not every model ever made, but enough spacing in weight, profile and torque that a test moves in meaningful steps rather than lucky guesses.
Heads We Test With
Head selection matters, but it is the last decision in our sequence and it is the one that varies least between good options. We keep current test heads from the manufacturers golfers in this area actually see on the shelf, so a specification we write can be filled locally if you prefer to buy elsewhere.

Shafts, Organised by Number Rather Than Brand
The rack is sorted by weight band and bend profile, not by manufacturer. That sounds like a small thing and it changes the whole session: when we need to move ten grams lighter with the same profile, we walk two hooks to the left rather than trying to remember which family that lives in.

Every rack shaft carries a measured CPM tag. Not the printed flex letter — the number our analyzer read on that specific shaft. That is the only way to compare across families honestly.
Grips and Build-Up
Grip size gets treated as a fitted dimension, not a preference. We measure your hand and then check what the hands do under load, because those two answers are not always the same. Build-up tape is used deliberately and recorded on the sheet, in wraps, so a future regrip reproduces the same size instead of quietly resetting it.

Why There Is No Preferred Brand
We hold no dealer agreement that pays more when a particular logo leaves the shop. That is a deliberate structural choice rather than a marketing line, and the practical consequence is that the rack gets restocked based on what has been fitting well, not on what needs to move.
It also means we will happily write a specification and hand it to you to fill somewhere else. Plenty of golfers do exactly that, particularly when a manufacturer's custom programme offers something we cannot source. The sheet is yours.
Component availability changes through the year, particularly in spring. The rack list above describes the coverage we maintain, not a guarantee that a specific model is on the wall today. Call ahead if a particular shaft is the reason you are booking.
